Ed Littler has been on the sidelines for hundreds of professional, college and high school games and practices since he joined the Local4 sports team in September of 1992.
Ed grew up in sunny South Florida and still isn’t a big fan of Nebraska’s cold winters. Ed is a Florida State graduate who has also worked at WTVN in Columbus, Ohio, and WAKC-TV in Akron, Ohio.
Ed has brought the sights and sounds of national championships and state championships to Central Nebraska viewers throughout the years. He covered the Nebraska football team’s national championships in 1994, 1995 and 1997 under Coach Tom Osborne.
Ed received the Nebraska Broadcaster's Association 2005 Gold award for the best sportscast in the state. Ed has been honored with two Best Sportscast awards from the Nebraska Associated Press Broadcasters Association. Ed also has won an award for feature reporting. He says covering the Nebraska Cornhuskers during their Rose Bowl trip in 2002 will always be one of the highlights of his professional career. He also enjoyed reporting on the Tournament of Roses parade, which he says is “the most spectacular display of color and pageantry you would ever want to see.”
Ed says he enjoys living and working in Central Nebraska. “It is good to be a member of the community here in the tri-cities where I have met some wonderful friends over the years. It is a good place to call home."
