HASTINGS, Neb. -- The small Nebraska community of Greeley boasts of having more people of Irish heritage per capita than any other town in the state. That's part of the reason they host an Irish Festival every year.
The 11th annual Greeley "Half Way to St. Pat's" Irish Festival is this Saturday. The day features live music, a culture center, music and dance lessons and much more. Four bands will be featured all day long on the main stage.
The event begins at 11 a.m. and will run right up to midnight before the last music act is finished.
Tickets are available at the door. Greeley is 45 miles north of Grand Island. The festival in on the grounds behind Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
