GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- The Grand Island Fire Department tells NBC Nebraska a motorcycle and car collided shortly after 12 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Highway 281 and State Street.
Fire officials characterized the man as in his late 40's or early 50's, and he was conscious and breathing when they arrived on scene, but it was still ruled a critical transport.
GIFD says both the motorcycle and car involved in the crash were totaled.
