GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A local bowling alley is striking out in an amazing way that helps people in need.
Super Bowl in Grand Island is hosting 'Strike Out Hunger' to help families in need of food.
All items will be donated to the Salvation Army Food Bank.
"Well they can donate any kind of non-perishable food it can be anything in a box or in a can," Super Bowl Owner George Overfield said. "They really like to have things like peanut butter, believe it or not."
People will receive a great reward for donating food.
"One of the big things I want to emphasize is sometimes they just think you bring one can of food in and they get one game of bowling, but if you have five people and five people bring in a can of food in, all five get a free game," Overfield said. "A large group can all bring a can and they all get a free game."
If you want to give back, you have until May 31 to donate food at the bowling alley.
