Three main events highlight Hastings Library activities

HASTINGS, Neb (KSNB) - The end of the month is a busy time for workers and guests at the Hastings Public Library, with three events highlighting the calendar.

Thursday night is the return of "So You're Growing Up". It's a program put on by area pediatricians for students from 4th, 5th and 6th grades of all area schools.

Jake Rundle from the library, speaking on Local4 News at 11:30, says kids find the library environment a good one for a discussion on changes to their bodies as they grow older. Separate sessions are held for girls and boys.

Rundle also says that author Cynthia Fintel will be at the library on Saturday, March 24 to read her new book. Fintel, a teacher at Sandy Creek High School, has written the kid's book "Mr. Ivan's Farm". The illustrator for the book is Kaylee Yost, one of Fintel's students/

Round out the month is the regular pub quiz on the last Thursday of the month. For March, the quiz will be at the Art Bar in downtown Hastings. The theme is TV shows "The Office" and "Friends".
