One injured after two-vehicle collision

LINCOLN, Neb. — On Monday, at approximately 5:30am, officers of the Scottsbluff Police Dept., along with Scottsbluff Fire and Valley Ambulance responded to an accident at the intersection of Hwy26/5th Avenue.

The investigation revealed that a 2007 Cadillac driven by Amos Harris, 85, of Scottsbluff was northbound on 5th Avenue and was struck by a 2000 Peterbilt semi that was being driven westbound on Hwy 26 by Ronald Hill, 57, of Torrington.

The Cadillac was a total loss and damage to the semi was estimated to be just over $1000.

No citations were issued.

Harris was transported to Regional West Medical Center, his injuries are believed to be minor.
