NEAR GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - An Arizona man was found dead Thursday in a corn field in rural Hall County.

The Hall County Sheriff identified the man as Cruz Urias-Beltran, 52, of San Luis, AZ.

His body was found by a search party early Thursday afternoon in a 300 acre corn field near the intersection of Highway 2 and Abbott Road about seven miles northwest of Grand Island.

The sheriff's office said that Urias-Beltran was working in a detassling crew and was reported missing Wednesday evening about 7:00 by his employer, Rivera Agri Inc.

After a three hour search proved unsuccessful Wednesday night, a 100-person search party was organized Thursday morning, including volunteers from every Hall County fire department.

The search party found Urias-Beltran's body early Thursday afternoon.

The sheriff said foul play was not suspected, but an autopsy has been ordered by the Hall County Attorney's Office.
