GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Grand Island man, reportedly with a prior history of domestic assault, is in the Hall County Correctional Center after injuring a woman.

According to Grand Island police reports, the woman reported to police Wednesday that the man had punched her and hit her with a flashlight and a staple gun. Injuries listed as a result included a fractured nose, fractured arm and cuts to her head and arms.

The man also allegedly put his hands on her throat and also covered her face with a towel and sweatshirt, making it difficult to breathe.

Conn was arrested for first degree domestic assault, strangulation or suffocation, use of a weapon to commit a felony and resisting arrest.
