Trumbull hit hard by storm
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Severe weather swept across much of Nebraska Wednesday into Thursday morning.
Utility crews worked throughout the night to restore power to its customers, while community members in Trumbull went to work to help one another out.
The high winds from the storm split trees in half and brought down large limbs. A few trees in Trumbull were even uprooted.
Several homes were damaged and residents spent their morning and afternoon cleaning up the mess.
Clay County Emergency Manager Tim Lewis said Trumbull and Edgar were the two towns in Clay County that were hit the hardest.
Trumbull residents said they couldn’t be more thankful for their community, and their willingness to roll up their sleeves and help out.
