KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The Kearney Public Library is offering you the chance to visit the Henry Doorly Zoo without leaving your home.

The library is offering a special program online Monday, July 13 at 2 p.m. It’s a Zoom classroom event where you’ll look for dragons and unicorns at the Omaha zoo.

Zuly the Zoo Fairy found a book of magic spells and mixed up a potion, but something went wrong. Now she needs the help of an expert from Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium to separate the real animals from the fantasy creatures.

During this presentation, you will encounter live animals, develop an appreciation for the mythology of cultures around the world, and learn the importance of conservation and saving the earth.

Registration is required for this Kearney Public Library online program. Please plan to register for the program no later than Sunday, July 12 at 10 p.m.

To register, visit the library’s website and click on Events, then the Register Here circle.

Participants will be emailed a Zoom access code prior to the program. A Zoom account is required for this program – accounts are free to create. Limited seating is available.

All ages are welcome to participate.
