HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - A cold front will be in the vicinity of the Tri-Cities around sunrise tomorrow morning. As that pushes southeastward, we’ll enjoy a cooler day behind the front. Highs behind the front will mostly be in the 70s. Ahead of the cold front, temperatures will warm into the 80s. There might be some lingering rain and isolated thunder Tuesday morning, but the chance will quickly clear. There could be some clouds that linger for much of the day. There could be some overnight storms Tuesday night, mainly in Southern Nebraska and Northern Kansas. Some isolated severe storms will be possible. Otherwise, look for a cooler night with lows in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Some of those showers may linger into Wednesday morning, but expect dry weather in the afternoon. Wednesday will be one more cooler day with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s. There’s another slight chance for rain and thunderstorms on Thursday as temperatures begin to warm up again. Highs will range from the lower 80s northeast to the mid 90s out west.

Friday through Sunday will be quite toasty with just a small chance for rain and thunderstorms over the weekend. We’ll see widespread 90s on Friday with some nearing 100° in the southwest. On Saturday, highs will push into the mid to upper 90s and lower 100s. Sunday will be just a little cooler with the approach of a cold front.
