CHI Health hospitals host drive-thru job fairs to fill open positions
KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Since unemployment is at an all-time-high, CHI Health hospitals in Kearney and Grand Island hosted drive thru job fairs on Wednesday, to fill open positions and provide information for those seeking a job.
People drove up to a booth of CHI Health staff and were given packets of information on job duties, and how they can apply.
“They take the packets, get the information if they want to apply,” said Amanda Croot, Recruiter for CHI Health Hospitals. “They just go to CHIHealth.com, our careers page and they can search a local listing of all the opportunities that we have.”
They have several positions open in a variety of different health fields.
“We have several clerical positions, along with skilled positions, nursing, environmental services, housekeeping, pharmacy, a lot of different positions and opportunities that we can give back to the community,” said Croot.
Over 30 people showed up to both fair’s and recruiting staff were pleased with the turnout. They even gave free masks to the first 50 people who stopped by.
“We’ve had several people come through which I’m very excited to see, just being able to talk to the community too,” Croot said. “So hopefully we’ll be able to assist in finding some work for everybody driving through.”
CHI Health Good Samaritan’s job fair was from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. CHI St. Francis fair was from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
