Sodbusters come from behind to keep pace in Clark Division

Hastings Sodbusters come from behind to down Western Nebraska Pioneers in extra innings, 9-7.

GERIN, Neb. (KSNB) - After two days off, the Hastings Sodbusters came from behind to beat Western Nebraska in 10 innings, 9-7. The win keeps them a half game back of Fremont in the Clark Division.

Jake Bigham had quite the night in relief, pitching 7.0 innings of no-run baseball. Bigham came in for starter Nate Zyzda in the fifth inning with his team down, 7-4. He struck out eight batters as the offense began to claw its way back.

Grant Schmidt had three-hits while Efry Cervantes led the team with 2 RBI. These two teams are back in action Thursday evening. First pitch set for 7:35 pm.
