Missing Henderson, KY teen found in Lexington, NE, two adults arrested

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Two adults were arrested after a teen went missing from Kentucky and was found in Lexington, Nebraska Monday.

The teen had been reported missing from Henderson, Kentucky on June 13.

The Henderson Police Department contacted the Lexington Police Department after the cell phone pinged at the Walmart parking lot. They were on their way to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Eight police officers located the boy hiding in the sleeper of a AAA Freight Inc. semi-truck. The trucking company is out of Merrionette, Illinois.

Police arrested 33-year-old Moses Humes of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and 19-year-old Katelyn Gish of Henderson, Kentucky for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Gish had a newborn with her.

The newborn and the 15-year-old boy were placed in protective custody.

Humes and Gish were booked in the Dawson County Jail. Their bond is set at ten percent of $2,500. Their first court appearance is August 6th at 9.30 a.m. in Dawson County Court.
