Tigers improve to 8-0 on Senior Night

Hastings explodes for 12 runs on their way to a six-run win over York

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Hastings High didn’t disappoint tonight for their home opener, as they did what they’ve done all season long - score runs.

The Tigers scored five runs in the first inning and never looked back, beating York 12-6 on senior night. Through eight games the the undefeated Tigers have scored 81 runs.

Delaney Mullen had two home runs for the Tigers, while Sammy Schmidt led the teams with four runs batted it.

Senior Sophie Cerveny paced the team with three hits.

Hastings will take the field next at North Platte Thursday in a doubleheader.
