HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings St. Cecilia football team is quarantining for 14 days after an individual has tested positive for COVID-19. The school did not disclose any information on if the person is associated with the team but based off guidance from the local health department, the entire team is quarantining for 14 days.

“We feel deeply sorry for the players, coaches and everyone else involved in the next two weeks of games,” Father Thomas Brouillette said. “We are going to do this the right way. and make sure our students and staff are safe and healthy. We will hang in there and look forward to getting back to competition soon.”

The Bluehawks game Sept. 4 against North Platte St. Patrick’s and next Friday’s game, Sept. 11 against Twin River are canceled.
