GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Two Grand Island women received minor injuries early Wednesday morning after three men broke into their home and stole some items.

While police believe events leading up to the incident may have happened earlier, it was reported around 4 a.m. Wednesday in the 4000 block of Anne Marie Avenue. The three men, at least one known to the women by name, assaulted them in the process of the breaking in and stealing items.

GIPD officials say it was not a random act and the motive is not yet known.

The women, ages 21 and 18, had visible injuries but did not require medical attention at the scene.
