HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Hastings College is coming off a 38-point drumming over Dakota Wesleyan in week one. The Broncos had everything working week one, but this week they take a big jump in competition traveling to face in-state rival Concordia.

“This is a big prove it game, like everyone is," Hastings College football coach Tony Harper said. "I told the guys you’re the underdog and rightfully we should be the underdog. We just got to go out and do our job.”

The team has not forgotten the last time the Broncos and Bulldogs took when Concordia winning 44-0 at Lloyd Wilson Field. Now in 2020, Hastings College knows this game holds weight early on in the season.

“There is always a prove it attitude in Hastings," Defensive lineman Chance Bollen said. "Everybody always counts us out. So this game I feel like we got to go out and show to people we ain’t playing no more. That we’re up there with Morningside and Northwestern this year.”

Game kicks off on at 6 pm Saturday, Sept. 19 from Bulldog Stadium.
