HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Friday nights in the fall are special for many around the country. Seeing your hometown school be successful under the lights is what every fan loves to see.

Adams Central football coach Shawn Mulligan has been coaching for 21 years and knows how important film study is to his team’s success.

“Knowledge is power in all aspects of life," Mulligan said. "So, therefore if you know tendencies that teams have based off film study it helps you be more successful.”

Coach Mulligan first starts watching film on Saturday’s across multiple platforms that they can make available to their players to analyze his team’s strengths and weaknesses. So when Friday’s roll around again they are ready to go.

“It’s a chess match game," Mulligan said. "It really is between both sides and sometimes you win sometimes you lose and there is no perfect game plan there is no perfect calls on every play.”

The game behind the game. Film study is not glamorous but it leads to glamorous plays when everyone is watching on Friday nights.
