More COVID-related deaths in Nebraska
KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The Two Rivers Public Health Department announced two more deaths from its district due to COVID-19.
One individual was a woman in her 60s, and the other was a man in his 90s. Both were from Buffalo County.
“We are so sorry for the losses felt by each of these families, and pray for peace at this difficult time,” said Planning Section Supervisor Katie Mulligan.
Two Rivers Health Director Jeremy Eschliman said to help prevent further spread of the virus he urges everyone to stay home when sick, wear face masks while in the community and in the public and ensure proper hand washing is exercised.
He emphasizes the importance of mask usage in preventing the spread of the virus, especially if people are exhibiting mild, allergy-like symptoms, or are asymptomatic and don’t realize they are infected.
Remember if you have been tested for the virus and are awaiting results, you’ll need to stay home until results are received.
According to the Department of Health and Human Services website, there have now been 522 deaths in our state.
