Roller coaster temperatures continue through the weekend
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Friday will be a mostly sunny day with a bit of a breeze out of the west. There will be somewhat of a temperature recovery, but it will likely still be a below average day for most. Look for highs from the upper 50s northeast to the low to mid 60s southwest. As winds turn more southerly and become breezy Friday night, low temperature won’t be as cold. We’ll mostly see lows around the area in the 40s. This should be the warmest night of the forecast.
Saturday will bring a brief warm up as another cold front passes through some time during the day. Highs on Saturday could range from the upper 50s northwest to the mid 70s southeast. Winds may start to increase out of the north as the next cold front passes through some time during the day. Behind the front, a little bit of light moisture will try to push southward. What could start out as light rain may change to light snow as it gets colder. The chance for moisture looks better the farther north you go. By Sunday morning, low temperatures will be back down between the mid 20s northwest and the mid 30s southeast.
Sunday will be a much chillier day as a little light moisture might linger around in the morning. Otherwise, look for a mix of clouds and sun. High temperatures on Sunday will mostly likely only be in the 40s. There’s another small chance for some light rain and snow Sunday night. Beyond that, there may be some other small chances through the middle of the week, but there is too much forecast model inconsistency to give a good precipitation forecast. As for temperatures, they’ll slowly start to rebound through the middle of the week as by Wednesday they’ll be back in the 50s and 60s.
