Halloween events happening in the Tri-Cities

HASTINGS, KEARNEY, GRAND ISLAND Neb. (KSNB) - For those looking to still have some safe fun on Halloween, there are plenty of events going on in the Tri-Cities to get you in the spirit.
In Grand Island, Hy-Vee will be hosting its Drive thru Trunk-or-Treat event on Saturday, October 31 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free to the public. Kids and adults will stay in their vehicle and drive in a line to each participating trunk. People are encouraged to dress up in costumes while trunk-or-treating from their cars.
And if you are brave enough, the Haunted Woods of Camp Augustine is open through Saturday. The mile trail is located just south of Grand Island on South Locust Street. The event is $10 per person, masks are required and are available if you don’t have one. It’s recommended for kids ages 12 and older. Hours are 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
In Hastings, Spookfest 2020 will be going on Friday at Jerry Spady Chevrolet GMC Cadillac dealership. The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. It is free to the public and will feature a trunk-or-treat, pumpkin decorating, games, photo booth, costume contest and more. People are encouraged to come earlier in the day to avoid crowding. Masks are highly encouraged. There will be social distancing measure in place as well as hand sanitizing station.
For those in Hastings who are animal lovers, Art Bar will be hosting the Furry Friends Trick or Treat. The downtown Hastings dog walk will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Treats will be available for both pets and people. Dogs are to be on a leash, people are asked to socially distance and wear masks. Costumes for pets and pet parents are highly encouraged.
Happening in Kearney, something different to enjoy is the Tunnel of Terror at Mirror Image Car Wash. This socially-distant haunted house will leave your car clean while giving you a good scare. It’s going on Friday, the kid friendly washes are from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the “scarier” version is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. $20 entry per car (includes only the $20 Car Wash selection).
Also in Kearney, Grace Fellowship Church will be hosting its Big Igloo Trunk-or-Treat event. It will on Saturday from noon to 2p.m. in the church parking lot. The event is free to the public. You’re invited to dress up and socially distance yourself through rows of decorate trunks while gathering candy.
