GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - During this season of giving, the Grand Island Business Coalition of Veterans hopes people keep them in mind.

Due to the pandemic, they had to cancel many of their events which also serve as fundraisers. They are now raising money to help with Wreaths Across America, Christmas at Victory Place and many other programs to give back to veterans.

Group leader Chef Anthony Brando said even during difficult times, they know they can always count on people in this area to help them help others.

“It’s going to be a little different," Brando said. "Going to be a big challenge this year, but this community is amazing. I have faith in our community. I’ve never been in a community that’s as strong of veteran supporters as it is in Grand Island.”
