LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Governor Pete Ricketts provided updates on the work the State of Nebraska is doing to slow the spread of coronavirus and protect hospitals at a briefing on Tuesday.

The Governor requested that Nebraska citizens forgo their normal Thanksgiving day plans. Health officials said that the virus could affect people in different ways, and while one person could feel fine after contracting the virus, it could be fatal to others with underlying conditions.

Gov. Ricketts did warn that as soon as the percentage of coronavirus-related hospitalizations increases above certain thresholds (25%), restrictions will be tightened
