KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Over half of the new COVID-19 cases reported on Monday were from Buffalo County. The district reported 101 new cases Monday, 56 of them were from Buffalo County.

Other counties with new confirmed cases were Dawson County with 25, Phelps County with 12, four in Harlan County, two in Franklin County and one each in Gosper and Kearney Counties.

The daily report also included a reminder of actions that should be taken to prevent the spread of the illness. Those include:

• Know how it spreads

• Wash your hands often

• Avoid close contact

• Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others

• Cover your cough and sneeze with a tissue or your sleeve

• Clean and disinfect

• Monitor your overall health and specifically monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19

• Stay home if you have symptoms or are awaiting test results
