Grand Island arrest ends with nearly half a pound of meth discovered

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island Police said the community is safer after they arrested a man with nearly half a pound of meth.
According to police, the arrest happened Tuesday at the Valero gas station on Eddy Street.
Police said 50-year-old Jamie Monie of Grand Island was contacted for an arrest warrant when police say a large quantity of meth was spotted in his vehicle.
Monie was found to be in possession of 204.7 grams of methamphetamine, paraphernalia (glass pipe), and money received from drug transactions.
Monie was arrested for possession with intent to distribute - meth, possession of drug money and paraphernalia.
