Ending November on a good note, but how does December begin?
November 30, 2020 Morning Forecast
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - While this morning was one of the coldest morning’s of the fall season so far, we have a pretty decent late November afternoon on the way. Along with plenty of sunshine, temperatures will rise to between the lower 40s east to the mid 50s west. Light westerly winds will turn more southerly and increase to as high as 10 to 15 mph. Skies will remain clear overnight with lows in the mid 10s to mid 20s.
Tomorrow morning will start with plenty of sunshine, but we move into the afternoon, there will be an increase in clouds and an increase in northwesterly winds. The strongest winds will be out west at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph. Around the Tri-Cities, look for 10 to 20 mph winds with gusts to 30 mph. High temperatures will mostly be in the 40s around the area which is warmer in the east and cooler in the west. Skies will be mostly cloudy Tuesday night as lows drop into the 20s. Winds will still remain breezy out of the north at 10 to 20 mph.
Wednesday will likely be the worst day of the week with highs in the 30s under mainly cloudy skies. Winds will remain a bit blustery out of the north at 15 to 25 mph. Along with the clouds comes a chance for light snow. Some of the snow may last into Wednesday night and possibly Thursday morning. There isn’t a lot of forecast model consistency when it comes to the locations with the best chance, but right now I would put the best chance in Southwest Nebraska and North Central Kansas. Some may get up to an inch of snow, but at this time, this should be a fairly minor storm system.
Thursday will still be a bit on the chilly side as highs will still mostly be in the 30s. It may still be a little breezy. We should see an increase in sunshine as the day goes on.
Nicer weather arrives to end the week and go into the first weekend of December. We should have plenty of sunshine during that time as temperatures warm well into the 40s on Friday. Then look for temperatures possibly above 50 this weekend.
