Cairo man appointed to Hall County Board
Replaces the late Dick Hartman
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - On Thursday, a special selection committee picked a Cairo businessman to fill out the rest of the term vacated when Hall County Commissioner Dick Hartman, died in October.
Hall County Clerk Marla Conley said the committee, which consisted of the county attorney, county treasurer and county clerk, chose Scott Sorensen from among 11 candidates who had applied for Hartman’s seat on the board of commissioners.
Sorensen will sit on the board until January 2023, when that term expires.
Sorensen owns Sorensen Ag Solutions, a consulting business based in Cairo.
