COVID closes Grand Island Howard preschool

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island Public Schools Wednesday announced that classes at Howard Elementary preschool for Thursday were cancelled.
The district cited recent positive coronavirus tests among staff members as the cause. GIPS was alerted to two positive cases among staff members and took action to address the situation.
The room in question is fairly isolated from the rest of the building.
Since preschool doesn’t hold classes on Friday, the decision will only impact Thursday and affect around 30 students.
