HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Statistics provided by Mary Lanning Healthcare indicate decreasing numbers of COVID-19 patients.

According to its website, there were 12 patients hospitalized with COVID as of Monday, Dec 21. In the last three months, the highest number of patients hospitalized for COVID was 23 on Nov 23. That’s the lowest number of patients at the hospital in the last five weeks.

Six patients were admitted for COVID between Thursday of last week and Monday. The hospital issues new statistics every four days. Since October 12, the hospital has averaged 2.6 new COVID patients every four days. The highest number of admissions during any one four-day period was seven on December 17.

There was one COVID death since last Thursday. As of Monday, there were no patients on ventilators at Mary Lanning hospital.

Mary Lanning currently allows one visitor per patient at a time. No visitors are allowed in clinics or in the emergency department.

At present the hospital is performing outpatient elective surgeries.
