HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Skies will be mostly clear tomorrow night with lows in the mid to upper 20s and low to mid 30s. The warmest day of the week will come on Wednesday. Temperatures will warm up into the mid 50s to mid 60s. There will be a few more clouds around with partly to mostly sunny skies expected. Winds will be out of the west at 5 to 15 mph.

Changes come in the form of a cold front Wednesday night. This front will move in from the northwest. There’s a chance for some late night light rain that may possibly mix with or change to snow, but most forecast models keep this as very light moisture at best. The chance of accumulating snow is low, but some in Northern Nebraska may pick up a quick inch. Of a bigger note will be the strong northwest winds that will move in behind the front on Thursday. Winds of 25 to 35 mph and gusts over 50 mph will be possible on Thursday. Similar winds are expected on Friday. Cooler temperatures will also be drawn into the area from the northwest. Highs on Thursday will range from the upper 30s north and west to the mid 40s south. Friday will be a bit chillier yet from around 30° northeast to around 40° southwest. There may be some flurries or very light snow on Friday.

The winds will come down quite a bit for the weekend, but temperatures will be slow to warm. We’ll see highs on Saturday in the lower 30s to lower 40s from northeast to southwest. It may be a few degrees warmer from the upper 30s to the mid 40s from northeast to southwest on Sunday. Winds may be a little breezy on Sunday. Highs on Monday will be similar to or slightly warmer than Sunday.
