KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - UNK women’s basketball snapped two-game losing streak beating Central Oklahoma, 75-68. The Lopers were paced by Elisa Backes who came off the bench, scoring a game-high 30 points. The junior went 3-for-6 from three and 10-of-15 from the field.

Carrie Eighmey got a welcome sight as her senior leader Haley Simental returned to the court after missing the last two games. She had four points and four assists. The win keeps UNK atop the MIAA standings after losing back to back games last week to Fort Hays State. Because of that, the Lopers are now ranked 12th in Division II poll.

UNK is back in action this Saturday hosting Newman. Tip-off set for 2 p.m.
