KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Nebraska-Kearney (16-3) loses to Central Missouri (17-2) to fall to second in the MIAA rankings. The Jennies had three score in double figures and used a big second quarter to earn the road win, 70-66.

Elisa Backes continued her hot streak leading all scorers with 18 off the bench. Senior, Haley Simental scored 14, hitting four 3-pointers. The Lopers offense went cold in the second quarter, as they shot 10.5 percent from the field and scored only five points.

The loss puts the Lopers on the outside looking in for the top seed in the MIAA Tournament. Central Missouri and Fort Hays State play each other this Saturday, Feb. 20.
