HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings College men’s basketball team fell to Midland 85-63 on Saturday afternoon inside Lynn Farrell Arena.

It was a strange start for the Broncos as Braden Kizer scored the first 11 points as he single handedly kept the Broncos in the game. His first two buckets were 3-pointers that gave HC the early 6-3 lead. He then connected on a layup followed by another three as Hastings trailed 13-11. From this point on, Midland ended up taking over the game quickly building a 13 point lead at 24-11 as the Broncos stayed cold from the floor.

Dashawn Walker had a solid game scoring 16 points while pulling down a game high 14 boards for his double-double. Mason Hiemstra finished with 12 points, Kizer with 11 points and Gansebom finished with 10 points.

Hastings shot 36 percent (24-for-66) from the floor while the Warriors shot 47 percent (29-for-61). Midland also held the edge in rebounds 41-to-32.

Bo Sandquist led all scorers with 27 points on 9-of-16 shooting and was 8-for-14 from behind the arc.

Hastings season comes to an end at 6-19 (2-18).
