GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island Public Schools says there will be no changes to district protocol regarding its mask policy. This despite the city ordinance, requiring masks, is set to expire at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.
Protective face coverings will still be required by all students and adults in district buildings.
There is no timetable for when masks will no longer be required, but further communication will follow when that information becomes available.
GIPS said a collective commitment to safety above all else is what made this moment possible, and it will take continued diligence to complete the school year with as little disruption as possible.
