GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Members of the Grand Island Public Schools staff will be among those receiving COVID-19 vaccines Friday.

School officials say more than 200 staff will be receiving their shots at the Community Fieldhouse at Fonner Park between 9 a.m and 11 a.m.

With Friday’s vaccinations, more than 800 members of the GIPS staff will have at least their first shots through the voluntary vaccination program. That represents more than 80 percent of their staff.
