Spring events, annual fundraiser on at Kearney Area Children’s Museum
The museum’s fundraiser is set for early April
KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The Kearney Area Children’s Museum has had success throughout the past year in planning and hosting its large, annual events and this spring’s classes, events and annual fundraiser are falling right in line.
The fundraiser, themed “Casino Night”, is scheduled for April 10 and will take place at Younes Conference Center. It’s a chance to get people engaged with what the museum has to offer and bring in some money the museum has missed out on with low attendance.
“Definitely just keeping us in the forefront of many people’s minds that we are a nonprofit and that we have struggled in the last year,” Executive Director Tracie Winscot said. “And that we are a vital resource to the community and the surrounding communities.”
Bidding during the silent auction at this year’s fundraiser will be virtual. More information can be found here.
The museum is also moving ahead with its Free Family Fun Night and Kids Night Out. Information on both of those can be found on the museum’s home page.
