Edgar business listed on 2021 Nebraska passport
Sugar Shack Home Decor Store is back as part of the Nebraska Passport Program
EDGAR, Neb. (KSNB) - After a few years left off the Nebraska Passport Program, Sugar Shack Home Decor Store in Edgar is listed as a stop on this year’s passport.
The owner of Sugar Shack, Cyndie Schoof is thrilled to be back on the program because she knows what it can do for business for both a location and a small town such as Edgar.
“It also makes people aware of our little town what we have to offer,” Schoof said. “We have a lot to offer so we’re hoping that people drop into the other businesses and support the town.”
Most well known for its candles, Sugar Shack has items that range from food, home decor items, Pacha soap, t-shirts, grilling items, plants and more. Schoop hopes the Passport Program is a chance for people to stop into the store and see the wide variety of items they have.
Schoof has owned Sugar Shack Home Decor Store for over 20 years and been in her current location for the last five. She’s working on moving the candle factory, right now off the property her store sits on, right next door to the shop.
Listed as a destination on the passport gives people an opportunity to go through Edgar, do some shopping and maybe discover some other favorite destinations in Nebraska.
“Nebraska is a great state to live and we do have way more than what people even know so the Passport Program really highlights that.”
The program begins May 1 and runs through Sept 30. You can order your passport here.
