HPS Foundation holding fundraiser to continue mission
The third-annual fundraiser will be a virtual event
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings Public Schools Foundation is holding its third-annual fundraiser on Wednesday, March 31 in an effort to promote what the Foundation has done this past year and continue that mission.
The event begins at 6 p.m. and will consist of a cake walk, silent auction, raffle and a cash game. They will also be awarding the educator and youth educator of the year and hand out scholarships. Throughout the program, the Foundation will also highlight some of the things going on inside the district such as the Middle School Garden, the high school and middle school food pantries and more.
“The foundation is just a vehicle, the foundation is just an organization that basically connects the generosity of the community to our students and teachers,” Executive Director Craig Kautz said. “It’s our students and teachers that do the outstanding things.”
Last year’s fundraiser was a virtual event but the first year of the fundraiser was held in person. The event is open to anyone in the Hastings community or the Hastings Public Schools district or anyone interested in what goes on inside the district.
People can register before or during the event and partake in the activities.
