No Spring Game for UNK Football
UNK to hold joint-practice with Wayne State
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The UNK football team will not hold their traditional spring game this year.
Instead, the Lopers will travel to Wayne, Nebraska and hold a joint-practice with the Wayne State Wildcats. The joint-practice is not only a way to get reps in for the veterans, but also to see what the younger players can do.
“That’s just an opportunity where we can get together and do some practice drills together, maybe scrimmage some younger guys, and that’s just an opportunity to kind of put an exclamation point on a good spring,” UNK Head Football Coach Josh Lynn said.
The joint-practice with Wayne State is scheduled for April 17, barring no cancellations due to COVID.
