HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Kevin Asher only spent one year at Wood River coaching the boys basketball team before making the jump up to Class B to coach at Aurora High School. The boys basketball position opened in Aurora after the school let go of former head coach Tom Leininger in December 2020.

Asher is known most for his time coaching the St. Cecilia boys basketball team winning four state titles in an eight year span.

In Aurora’s press release on the hire, they said, “We are very excited to add Mr. Asher to the Aurora Public Schools staff and look forward to the continued success of the Aurora Boys Basketball Program.”
