GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - In its first prep game at Ryder Park in two years, Grand Island baseball swept Elkhorn North winning both games, 8-5.

In game one, the Islanders offense got to Wolves pitcher Rowan Leahy early scoring three-runs in the first inning off an RBI double from Braden Robinson and a two-RBI double from Jaden Jurgensmier. On the mound, Tyler Fay pitched 6.0 innings striking out eight batters.

Grand Island improves to 3-3. Their next game is against rival Kearney at home on Thursday, April 8.
