HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Several places in Central and Western Nebraska set new record highs today, with upper 80s to low 90s recorded in many locations. Another warm day is coming tomorrow before storms and cooler temps midweek.

Monday will be very similar in conditions to Sunday, with warm mid 80s and a few clouds. Lows into Tuesday morning will once again drop only to the mid 50s. Rain chances will increase through the morning, and thunderstorms will be likely in the afternoon to the evening. Highs Tuesday will fall short of Monday, but a steep gradient will set up with a passing front. Some places will be in the low 80s with temps dropping to the 60s and 50s just under 50 miles west and north. Winds around 15-20mph from the South-Southeast will precede the front, with Northwest gusts upwards of 30 as it passes through.

Wednesday continues with rain chances, but much cooler weather. A cold front will pass around midnight and prevent the highs getting as warm as the past few days, stalling out in the mid to upper 50s. This will be the coolest day of the week. Winds will be from the Northwest around 20-25mph, gusting to 30.

Thursday and Friday will progressively warm through the 60s and low 70s once again. A small chance for more rain is beginning to arrive in the weekend, but more time will be needed to determine the certainty of this.
