Cooling temps ahead of more rain
April 11, 2021 Forecast

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) -Sunday will start off pleasant enough with sunshine and lighter winds, but a cold front will push through during the day from the northwest. Behind that, winds will become strong out of the northwest at 25-30mph, gusts over 40, and cooler air will move in from the northwest. Any chance for rain right now looks to be confined to our far northern counties. Highs on Sunday will range from the mid 50s northwest to the lower 70s southeast.
Cooler and breezy/windy weather will return for early next week behind this front. Highs on Monday will mostly be in the 50s, but there may be a few upper 40s in the northwest. It will be another fairly sunny day. Tuesday may feature a few more clouds, but a little less wind. Temperatures will mostly top out in the upper 40s and low to mid 50s.
A slight chance of rain will come later Tuesday night into Wednesday with the better chance being in our western counties. Temperatures come down a little more on Wednesday with highs in the 40s and lower 50s. Thursday’s temperatures will be similar to, it not slightly cooler than Wednesday.
There is a shot for some more rain coming late Wednesday through Friday, which will make for a similar end to this week as the one we just saw, with dreary and cool conditions persisting for most of the daytime. Western Nebraska could see light snow accumulations as well, but it’s unlikely any high totals will exist nor will it impact the Tri-Cities.
