GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The cast of Grand Island Northwest’s musical “Fame” will soon be taking the stage. And there’s excitement surrounding the production for more than one reason.

When the curtain rises, it will mark the first musical at Northwest High School in two years, but it will also be the first time directing husband and wife duo Jeff and Kari Vyhlidal will be apart of it.

The 2020 musical “Hairspray” was their first production with the school, but that was canceled days before opening night.

“We didn’t get to have a show last year. So I’m just excited to get to do a show with these kids. We got to put in the work but we didn’t get to share it with anybody. And they didn’t get to share their story and the story of the show. So I’m just excited for them to get to do a show and to share it,” said Jeff.

The duo say you’ll see lots of energy and and dancing backdropped by an industrial style set and LED lighting.

Opening night is Thursday, April 15 and runs through Sunday, April 18. Showtimes are at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. There are also 2 p.m. performances on Saturday and Sunday.

You may purchase the Premium reserved seats for $40, General Reserved tickets for $20, or a few select seats that are available for $15. Tickets can be purchased HERE
