HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Hastings High baseball put Tuesday’s loss to Seward behind them beating Class A opponent Omaha South, 10-8. This was the Tigers first of five straight games against Class A opponents.

Hastings scored six-runs in the first inning before the Packers mounted a comeback in the second inning. David Deleon hit a 3-RBI triple to put Omaha South within a run. Ethan Balkus’ RBI single knotted the game at six heading to the bottom of the frame.

in the bottom of the second, the Tigers did their damage with two outs as Justin Musgrave and Luke Brooks hit back-to-back singles before Trayton Newman crushed a 3-run inside the park home run to put Hastings up for good.

Hastings improved to 7-4 and are winners of six of their last seven games. They travel to Norfolk tomorrow, April 10th to face the 3-10 Panthers.
