LINCOLN, Neb. (KSNB) - The Tri-City Storm kept up its hot streak beating in-state rival Lincoln, 5-3. The Storm are 9-1 in their last 10 games. They are first in the Western Conference with 61 points, four points ahead of Fargo who have played four more games than them..

Defenseman Cole McWard opened up the scoring in the first period before the Storm poured it on coming out of the first intermission. David Montgomery, Carter Mazur and Matthew Knies all scored in the second period to give Tri-City a 4-1 lead heading to the third period.

Knies netted his second goal of the game in the third as the Storm improved to 29-13-3. These two teams play each other again tomorrow, April 10 in Kearney. Puck drop at 7:05 p.m.
