Hastings organizations partner to provide rent assistance

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Renters who have been financially impacted by the pandemic and who meet certain income eligibility guidelines can apply in person for past due rent and utilities and up to 3 months of future rent.
The Community Impact Network, in partnership with the United Way of South Central Nebraska and Hastings Public Schools, has set up an Application Open House where renters and landlords can apply for the Nebraska Emergency Rental Assistance program. The Open House will be on April 26, 2021 at the Hastings Middle School from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Computers will be available so applicants can complete the online application and scanners will be available to assist with scanning the required documentation to be uploaded to the application. Staff will be onsite to assist in any way and to answer any questions.
Translation support, child care and dinner will be provided if needed. Legal Aid of Nebraska will also be offering their services at the event.
