Two Rivers Public Health introduces “Health on Wheels”
KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Two Rivers will begin conducting mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinics through a newly acquired, enclosed trailer. The trailer is currently in the process of being upfitted with equipment and supplies to allow for a fully operational clinic but in a mobile setting, with completion by Monday, May 3.
Features being installed in the trailer include two vaccination stations within the enclosure, and electricity to provide lighting, heating and cooling, and access to computer technology. An awning is also being installed on the trailer to allow for a more comfortable waiting area for those in line to receive their vaccines.
The trailer is already scheduled for several upcoming clinics. Next week, the trailer will be operational on May 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Amherst, and from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Two Rivers office in Kearney. It will again travel on the 6th to Lexington at El Tropico from 1 to 7 p.m.
A clinic calendar is being organized for release next week, and will include a Johnson & Johnson Janssen clinic at the Two Rivers office on May 11, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., utilizing the vaccine trailer.
