HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - It was a hot day at Memorial Stadium, as the Grand Island Islanders took on the Omaha Northwest Huskies in the District A-4 semifinals.

Early on, the Islanders attacked the Huskies goal, as Javier Baide had several shots that were saved by Omaha Northwest keeper Po Reh.

About halfway through the first half, the Islanders were finally able to put one on the board, after Baide slipped a couple defenders and won a one-on-one matchup with Reh and finding the back of the net.

The Islanders would go on to score two more goals in the second half, as they win 3-0. They’ll host the District A-4 finals against Columbus next week.
